About Us


​​The National Healthcare Group ​Women’s Health & Specialist Centre (WHSC) is a specialist centre at Woodlands Health Campus for women of all ages (from young women to​ postmenopausal women).

Our dedicated team of specialists, nursing and allied health professionals are committed to providing comprehensive and holistic health care for women – looking at various aspects of a woman’s health,​ including physical, psychological well-being, and social n​eeds.

Our Services​​​​

The breast surgery service provides comprehensive care of the woman with breast issues, from breast screening, review of breast symptoms, to treatment of breast cancer and aftercare.

Our specialised areas include oncoplastic surgery, minimally invasive breast surgery and lymphovascular anastomosis. Oncoplastic breast surgery allows us to be able to do breast conserving surgery for breast cancer patients who traditionally may not have been able to keep their breasts. For minimally invasive breast surgery, we leverage on technology such a endoscopic assisted mastectomies, as well as mammotomies, to improve to aesthetic outcomes for patients, with faster recovery and less complication rates. We also work closely with our plastic surgeons, who are able to offer lymphovascular anastomosis for patients who may require axillary clearance, or who are currently suffering lymphedema. This has significantly reduced the rates of lymphedema.

Our team of doctors provide personalised and comprehensive breast care catering to all aspects of breast health.

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology service provides comprehensive clinical services for pregnancy, gynaecologic and sexual health needs.

​Obstetric services include:

  • Antenatal care (before birth)

  • Postnatal care (after birth)

  • General gynaecology consultation

  • PAP smear / HPV test

  • Endometrial sampling

  • Vaginal swabs

  • Biopsy for histology (e.g. cervical polyp / lesions)

The Endocrinology service is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women’s hormonal and metabolic health, treating a wide range of endocrine disorders that affect women at all stages of life. We collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team alongside gynaecology, breast surgery, whilst supported by skilled healthcare professionals. Our services include consultations, personalized treatment plans, and longitudinal care to promote well-being and quality of life of our patients.

The Urology service provides holistic care for women who have inter-related urological and gynaecological conditions, ranging from investigation of urinary conditions, to combining urological and gynaecological treatments for specific conditions.

Our team specialises in treating patients who have urinary symptoms that are related to gynaecological conditions. We leverage team-based care to provide medical, psychological and lifestyle interventions for stress and urge urinary incontinence. A dedicated team provides regular follow up on behavioural and cognitive treatment for these conditions. Our Gynaecologists and Urologists work closely together to determine the most appropriate treatment for patients, which includes incontinence surgery, minimally invasive BOTOX treatment to the bladder.

1. Where is the Women’s Health & Specialist Centre located?

The centre is located on Level 4 of the Medical Centre at Woodlands Health Campus.

2. If I am seeing the doctor for a woman-related health condition, can I head directly to the Women’s Health & Specialist Centre?

Patients with woman-related health conditions may still need to attend consultations on other levels of the Medical Centre.

To confirm your consultation location, please check the NHG Cares App​, HealthHub, or the SMS appointment reminder.

After registration, your queue itinerary will be generated, and you can view your queue journey and consultation location.

3. Are there plans to expand your services?

We plan to expand our services progressively. For the latest updates, please refer to our website.

4. Do you offer Breast Screening services?

Yes, Woodlands Health offers breast screening services, including mammograms and ultrasounds. If any abnormalities are detected, appointments can be made to consult a breast surgeon. We also offer breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, and breast reconstruction.

Woodlands Health is a BreastScreen Singapore (BSS)-accredited reading and assessment centre.

5. Will there be labour and delivery services?

No, we do not offer labour and delivery services. However, we provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care. Our obstetric patients will deliver at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

​Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology services are provided by specialists from KK Women’s and Children’s​ Hospital.

6. I have an existing appointment at KKH, but I live in Woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun. Will my appointment be transferred to WHSC?

No, appointments are not automatically transferred. You will keep your existing appointment at KKH. To check your appointment details, you can use the NHG Cares App, HealthHub App, or refer to the SMS appointment confirmation and/or reminder.

7. If I have an existing appointment with the O&G specialist at KKH, can I transfer my appointment to WH?

Yes, if you wish to transfer your appointment from KKH to Woodlands Health, please inform your KKH doctor during your next visit.

Your doctor will need to submit a referral to Woodlands Health. You will receive an SMS notification once your appointment with Woodlands Health is confirmed.

Please note that once transferred, you will be charged according to Woodlands Health's rates.

8. How can I schedule an appointment with a specialist at the Women’s Health & Specialist Centre?

You can schedule an appointment by calling our Contact Centre at 6363 8000 or emailing us at [email protected].

If you have a Referral Letter, please email it to [email protected]. Alternatively, you can ask your referring Clinic or Hospital to send the Referral Letter on your behalf and arrange the appointment for you.

Our team will review your referral and send you an appointment confirmation via SMS. You can also view your appointment details in the NHG Cares App​ and/or HealthHub App.

*Please note that a polyclinic or CHAS referral is required for subsidised clinic appointments (Singaporeans & PR only).
