How long have you been a Hospital Clinician?
I started my clinical journey as a Resident Physician and joined Woodlands Health’s Hospital Clinician scheme at the beginning of 2023.
Tell us more about your role.
As a hospital clinician, I get to contribute to our healthcare system by delivering holistic patient care through the seamless integration of care within and beyond the hospital. Aside from my clinical duties, I also support fellow colleagues in internal committees to ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
What drove you to join healthcare?
My admiration for the human mind and body drove me to study medicine, but what made me practice medicine was being able to help and serve others - this has motivated me in my journey as a doctor.
What is one thing that spurs you on at work?
It is simply about having a positive impact on someone's life, I am thankful to be able to that.
What is one thing about your job, that you feel is unknown or misunderstood?
I think very often, people tend to assume that doctors do not have struggles and that we know everything.
Can you share with us one or two memorable moments from your time in WH or healthcare?
Actually, there have been many memorable moments. I am thankful for the support I have received from my bosses and colleagues, both in good and bad times. Knowing that I am never alone, has been reassuring especially when I was trying to adapt to a new working environment.

What do you love about your job?
I feel a sense of belonging to my team and the patients I see. This keeps me glued to my job, and inspires me to do more and grow as a person and as a doctor.
