What goes on in the pharmacy?
Your prescription goes through a series of checks to ensure that the medication dispensed to you are safe and effective for your condition:
Medication Review
Pharmacists will review your prescription based on the medication doses as well as your current medical condition to ensure that the medication prescribed is suitable for you.
Generating Medication Labels
After ensuring that your medication are suitable for you, we will generate the medication labels based on your requested quantities.
Packing of Medication
After the labels are generated, the machines will be triggered to start packing your medication. For items in smaller quantities, it will be manually packed by our Pharmacy staff from the respective shelves. The packed medication will be consolidated onto the Star Machine which will queue it for dispensing or sent for checking to process for Home Delivery or Locker Collection.
Dispensing & Counselling of Medication
Your medication basket will be retrieved from the Star Machine and your queue number will be called. Upon dispensing, our Pharmacy staff will ensure that all your medications are accounted for. We will also counsel you on your medication, especially if there are medication changes or any special instructions that we will need to highlight to you.
Home Delivery or Locker Collection
Your medication will be checked and packed into a tamper proof bag which will then be loaded into the lockers or passed to the courier company for delivery. If there are any medication changes, we will call you for medication counselling.
