1. How would counselling help?

Counselling offers a safe and supporting environment to discuss and navigate challenging emotions you may be experiencing.

These conversations and explorations can lead to a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and actions. Ultimately, these insight can provide greater clarity on how to improve your ability to cope with stress and the challenges you are facing.

2. What can I expect when I speak to a MSW?

When seeking counselling support, you will be encouraged to openly discuss your present circumstances, thoughts, feelings, and your past experiences. This sharing helps our MSWs gain a better understanding of your situation and the challenges you face.

You will be encouraged to discuss coping strategies, re-evaluate your thoughts and feelings, and work with our MSWs to improve your coping skills. The process may span several sessions, and if needed, our MSWs may refer to our community partners like Family Service Centres, Community Case Management Services, Counselling Centres, and etc for ongoing support with your consent.
