How long have you been in your role?

I have been in my current role at WH for almost two years now. My journey in healthcare, however, spans over 14 years.

Summarise your job scope in 1-2 sentences.

In my role, I am responsible for overseeing the seamless operation of our specialist clinics, ensuring their efficient functioning, and providing comprehensive support to all patient-related services.

What drove you to join healthcare?

I was drawn to a career in healthcare by the abundant opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of others. The assurance of job security in this field has provided me with a stable foundation to pursue my passion for helping people and contributing to their well-being.

What is one thing that spurs you on at work?

I love working in a place where everyone supports and respects each other. It keeps me motivated and happy.

What is one thing about your job, that you feel is unknown or misunderstood?

It's a common misconception that people often believe Patient Service Associates (PSAs) are knowledgeable about every aspect of the clinic or hospital. However, this misconception serves as a motivation for us to explore and learn beyond our standard responsibilities, fostering continuous growth and development within our team.

Can you share with us one or two memorable moments from your time in WH or healthcare?

One memorable moment occurred during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the challenging public perception of healthcare workers, a patient approached me and expressed sincere gratitude for my commitment to work, even though I was pregnant. This heartfelt interaction motivated me to continue giving my best.

What do you love about your job?

What I love most about my job is the constant opportunity for learning and the privilege to serve a diverse range of patients. I see each day as a new challenge, pushing me to continually improve and innovate in my role. The process of finding better ways to serve and contribute is something that genuinely excites me.
