Congratulations to our nurses, Senior Nurse Educator Shiji d/o Kuttan and Nurse Clinician Charmaine Taye Shi Min, who received the Nurses' Merit Award 2021!

Charmaine Taye, Nurse Clinician, Woodlands Health

How long have you been in Nursing, and what keeps you going?

I’ve been in Nursing for the past 14 years. Being in Woodlands Health keeps me going, as the senior management make me feel that the sky is the limit for development, and I get to make to make a difference in people’s lives at the same time.

What are you looking forward to, at WH?

I look forward to being developed as a leader, and be able to nurture a group of young nurses, while we work
towards building our dream hospital.

Anyone you wish to thank or share this Award with?

I would like to thank my senior management for the award and would like to share it with every WH nurse, who have been selfless in caring for the patients.

Shiji D/O Kuttan, Senior Nurse Educator (Nursing Informatics), Woodlands Health

How long have you been in Nursing and what keeps you going?

My nursing career started in 1996. Nursing has constantly given me the excitement to do different things in my career, to improve the processes and quality in patient care.

The learning experience and exposure has enabled me to build my personality and professionalism.

What are you looking forward to, at WH?

I am currently the Nursing Informatics lead and one of the Principal Trainers for the NGEMR project.
Through my role, I get to collaborate with physicians, allied health and IT colleagues and leaders from NHG, NUHS & IHIS.

Anyone you wish to thank or share this Award with?

I would like to thank our Chief Nurse Ms Pua and nursing colleagues, for nominating me for this award. I greatly appreciate their support and encouragement.

I share this award with my amazing and dedicated Nursing Informatics team.
