Information for Visitors
Why do we need Automated Visitor Management System (AVMS)?
The new Automated Visitor Management System is installed for better management of the number of visitors to the wards, allowing for a more convenient and hassle-free visit to the hospital. The system also facilitates contact tracing for the safety of our patients and visitors, when the need arises.
Why do we need Visitor Policy?
Our patient needs to have adequate rest to recover. The visiting hours and the visitors quota are in place to ensure patients have adequate rest and to lower the risk of infection from visitors.
How will I know if the quota is met or when there is an available visiting slot?
If you are not able to access the gantry during the visiting hours, it means that the quota would probably have been met. The visitor will be placed on the visitor waitlist upon scanning his/her identification card at the gantry.
An SMS will be sent to the first visitor on the waitlist once a visiting slot is available. Please arrive at the gantry within 10 minutes of receiving the SMS. Otherwise, the slot will be given to the next visitor on the list after 10 minutes.
Can you provide me the contact details of visitors as I am placed on waiting list?
We are unable to disclose information about the patient and visitors due to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Visitors are encouraged to contact the patient's next-of-kin/family members for details. Visitors are to keep within the visitation duration so that other visitors in the waiting list are able to see the patient as per scheduled.
What if i cannot remember the patient details, how to register?
We are unable to disclose information about the patient due to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Visitors are encouraged to contact the patient's next-of-kin/family members for the patient's details.
What are the forms of identification cards that can be used for registration?
You may register using NRIC/FIN, Senior Citizen EZ-link card, Student EZ-link card, and Driving licence. The cards are scanned at the gantry for entry and exit.
Visitors with foreign identification (e.g. passport, employment pass, etc.) may approach B1 Information Counter for assistance.
What if I forget to bring my identification card?
You may approach the B1 Information Counter located at Basement 1 between Towers A and B during visiting hours.
I have a family conference with the doctor out of visiting hours. How can I access the wards?
Please contact Visitor Registration duty manager at [email protected] or B1 Information Counter located at Basement 1.
