The Clinical Preceptorship Course aims to provide participants with the essential knowledge, skills and attitude for the role of a clinical preceptor for nursing students from pre-registration or pre-enrolment courses. It prepares and develops nurses for their role in welcoming, integrating, supervising, facilitating and assessing nursing students and/or new nurses into the team and place of work.
This course is targeted at nurses who meet the following criteria:

External participants are required to submit their job description and a list of assessors from their respective institutions during course registration. This ensures that the assessors meet the minimum requirements, enabling participants to have adequate opportunities for hands-on practice in their own institutions. On-Job-Training (OJT) will be managed by the participants’ respective organisations. Participants are required to complete a self-evaluation logsheet, endorsed by their nursing supervisor, within 3 months and submit it to Woodlands Health.
